About me
My name is Leonora de Jong
After a long time career in the medical field I decided it was time to make a change.
I was introduced to Reiki and Massage Therapy and discovered the healing power of touch. With that knowledge I came to the conclusion, I could make a difference in other people's lives.
After graduating I started Shining Lights Massage Therapy.
As a Massage Therapist, Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork I am trained in a variety of modalities.In addition as a Reiki Master I work as a volunteer for Life with Cancer, a program for cancer patients and their families, sponsored by Inova Fairfax Hospital.
The National Capital Area Sports Massage Team is another organization I joined, doing sports massage during local running, bike riding and other sports events.
It is my belief to create a safe, nurturing and relaxed environment, where clients feel extremely comfortable, allowing universal healing to occur naturally and provide massage- and energy treatments with a personal touch, within a flexible time frame, exceeding every client's expectation.
